This is a solo performance I did in my final year of sixth form.
I sang the song 'Creep' in a competition called the 'Beswick Music Festival' competing for senior vocalist.
This took place in 2022.
This 2021 performance of 'Back to Black' originally performed by Amy Winehouse was done in a smaller event which we called a 'Live Lounge' where the performances weren't as serious and the atmosphere was more calm and collected to put us all at ease. This was the first performance we were allowed to do after covid and so wanted a smoother transition back into the performing world.
As a Singer-Songwriter, I not only want to perform cover songs but also my own original songs. This was one of the first times I have performed an original to any audience and it definitely encouraged me to want to do it more. The song is called 'Anymore' and it was performed at an open mic night in Matlock.
This mashup of 'Wonderwall' and 'Boulevard of Broken Dreams' was a piece we liked to do for fun in class. however, we performed this at the 2022 'Beswick Music Festival' where we came in first place in the ensemble category. This was our last performance together as a 3 and so felt amazing to leave on such a high.
