ABOUT ME
My name is Olivia Mae Phillips and I was born on the 3rd June 2004. I was born in Pwllheli, North Wales but I was raised in Altrincham, Manchester.
I started singing when I was around 8 years old and my love for it has kept growing ever since. I think my passion for music stemmed from my dad as he has performed in a band and recorded his own music for years. This has allowed me to see the potential I could grow to achieve and so has drawn me into the subject even more.
I attended Knutsford Academy and sixth form where I studied music at GCSE and A Level. I did many performances showcasing my music to the audience, this has included solo performances but also performances with 2 of my close friends from my class. Although it can get very complicated and it may take you a few times to get certain parts right, as long as you persevere with yourself and your band you will learn to not only enjoy the parts where it flows smoothly but also those times where you think you will never get it right. Working with Tashie and Maty, allowed me to gain confidence you might not be able to achieve when performing solo. This is due to being able to have people to bounce ideas off on both the good days and the bad days.
Now I attend Leeds Beckett University where I study Music Performance and Production. Although we do a lot of band work here too, I am focusing on myself as a solo Singer-Songwriter and I am hoping to find many more opportunities to show off my music to more people.
